EMDR Therapy – Idaho Falls

It’s Time To Heal Your Mind.

Achieve emotional healing and reclaim your sense of peace.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a powerful, evidence-based therapy used to help individuals overcome the emotional impact of trauma. It is often used to treat PTSD, anxiety, and other distressing conditions caused by past trauma. By reprocessing distressing memories, EMDR therapy helps to desensitize the negative feelings and beliefs associated with them, allowing you to move forward with greater emotional freedom and resilience.

EMDR is a transformative tool for healing trauma.

Trauma and emotional distress can impact many aspects of your life—your relationships, work, and overall well-being. EMDR has helped countless individuals heal from deeply painful experiences by reprocessing memories in a safe, supportive environment. With over 18 years of experience in trauma care, we provide expert guidance and support to help you find emotional relief, build resilience, and move toward recovery.

Signs You Could Benefit from EMDR

  • Flashbacks or intrusive memories
  • Nightmares or disturbed sleep
  • Anxiety or hypervigilance
  • Feeling emotionally stuck
  • Unexplained physical symptoms
  • Difficulty trusting or feeling safe
  • Negative beliefs about yourself or the world

How EMDR Works

EMDR helps you process traumatic memories by using bilateral stimulation (usually through guided eye movements) to activate both sides of your brain. This helps your brain “reprocess” memories, allowing you to reduce the emotional charge associated with them. EMDR can help you reframe negative thoughts, gain insight, and heal past wounds so you can move forward in a healthier, more balanced way.

Trauma and PTSD

EMDR can be particularly effective for those dealing with PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder), a condition that often results from traumatic events such as abuse, accidents, or combat exposure. EMDR is designed to help you safely revisit painful memories, reduce their emotional intensity, and ultimately heal from the trauma. By reprocessing these experiences, EMDR helps shift your brain’s negative responses and enables you to live more fully in the present.
